BRAIN INJURY RECOVERY FOUNDATION, DEFY NEURO REHAB CENTER

DEFY Neuro Rehab is a new rehabilitation center for people impacted by traumatic brain injuries. There is not currently any facility like this in Oklahoma and many people in our community that are impacted by brain injuries must travel out of state for support. Our design team worked with this emerging non-profit center to design an accessible space for both treatment and care-giver support, as well as and community building. The project is a renovation of an existing building that will include an open rehabilitation space, offices, break room and bathrooms. In addition, the accessibility needs will include a new exterior ramp for ease of access and use. The project is currently in fundraising and is expected to move into construction in the winter 2022.
