Carter & Higgins Orthodontics

Tulsa, Oklahoma

After building a successful Orthodontic practice, Carter and Higgins Orthodontics was ready to grow into a new building. KKT has worked with them to develop a design to fit their style of practice and accommodate their growth. Plans for the office feature clean finishes, bright, open patient bays with views to the exterior, and a spacious waiting area that creates a welcoming, relaxed environment.

The office layout creates an efficient workflow to maximize the patient experience. The main level features vaulted ceilings and ample natural light. The reception area with seating for 25, consult room, patient rooms, and eight patient bays, are situated on the main level. The open, airy feel of the space is accentuated by the doctors’ centralized workstation where they can easily see and hear the clinic. The steep slope of the site presented an opportunity to create a walk-out lower level that contains the office’s lab, administrative offices, and a staff breakroom large enough to allow for all-staff meetings or dining. One special staff member received extra consideration, Jerry the therapy dog. A dog run on the exterior and special details for him inside are being considered in the design.
