Tulsa Public Schools Edison High School Cafeteria and Courtyard Remodal

As part of the 2021 Tulsa Public Schools’ Bond Election, KKT created multiple designs for high school cafeteria upgrades, each of which reflects the school’s personality and brand. One of the first to be remodeled was Edison Preparatory High School. This project included a complete redesign of the existing kitchen with all new equipment, a new servery design for a variety of food concepts, an expansion of the cafeteria seating area, the addition of the Eagles’ Lounge, and a redesign of the ROTC classroom and staff offices. The renovated cafeteria seating area includes a variety of seating types and contains technology that helps create multi-functional spaces for use by staff and students, as well as parent organizations.

An existing exterior courtyard between the cafeteria and fine arts classrooms was remodeled to include additional seating for collaboration and socialization. The seating also provides a location for outdoor instruction and an exterior pavilion in the courtyard provides protection from the elements so that it can be used more frequently.
