Veterans Opportunity Center
The Veterans Opportunity Center and housing project is a 200-bed development that aims to help homeless Veterans with a fresh start. Along with single-unit apartments, there will be a 50,000 SF on-site manufacturing facility that provides residents with job training. As a component of the manufacturing, which will focus on food production, there is a restaurant planned to allow for the goods produced on site to be served within the community, as well as to the general public. The project will also feature a community center with other health and career support functions for the residents. Arranged on the site like a neighborhood, the modular single-story apartment buildings will be designed to be fully ADA accessible with easy access to parking and area amenities. The heart of the neighborhood will be a greenspace with the community center as the focal point. The goal of this development is to create a prototype that can be adapted to any location in the country. This site and each to follow will have a statue to commemorate a local Medal of Honor recipient. KKT is currently in schematic design for this project which will be located in Tulsa, OK.
