KKT & Emerson Elementary-Virtual Outreach

At KKT we are always looking for new initiatives to teach upcoming generations about architecture and engineering. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are values on which KKT Architects was founded, and we are driven to tear down the barriers of entry to the profession of architecture and engineering by reaching out to underserved students and by creating opportunities for everyone in our community to achieve, lead, and thrive. As a part of this initiative, we recently worked with a teacher at Emerson Elementary to create virtual teaching content for their school. In this first video, KKT’s Robert Guess gives a short tour of the office and then shows viewers how math is used to make a blueprint of an existing space using the newly redesigned Emerson Elementary as a template. Take a look!
