A project to replace the current Rudisill Regional Library with a brand-new facility has received a $2.5 million gift from Bank of Oklahoma.
A $21.2 million project, the new facility will be built in the historic Greenwood District about a half mile from the library’s current location at 1520 N. Hartford Ave.
“The Rudisill Regional Library has been an integral part of the north Tulsa community for 48 years,” Tulsa City County Library CEO Kim Johnson said in a news release. “The support from Bank of Oklahoma and other funders will ensure that another generation of north Tulsans of all ages can access the information needed to advance their education, career or business. We are thrilled to see this partnership come to fruition.”
BOK will retain the naming rights to a 450-seat event space inside the new building. The new BOK Harmony Hall will provide space for lectures, trainings, community meetings and other events.
