Tulsa Public Schools Edison High School Cafeteria and Courtyard Remodel

As part of the 2021 Tulsa Public Schools’ Bond Election, KKT created multiple designs for high school cafeteria upgrades, each of which reflected the school colors and personality of the school and its history. One of the first to be remodeled is Edison Preparatory High School. The project included a complete redesign of the existing kitchen, an expansion of the cafeteria seating area, including the addition of a variety of seating types, the addition of the Eagles’ Lounge, and a redesign of the ROTC classroom, offices, and outdoor training spaces. The renovated cafeteria seating will contain additional technology which helps to create multi-functional spaces that can be used by teachers and student organizations.

The existing exterior courtyard between the cafeteria and fine arts classrooms has been upgraded for additional seating, as well as outdoor instruction. The addition of an exterior pavilion in the courtyard provides protection from the elements so that students can use the exterior seating more often.
