The Skiatook Public Schools Elementary Gymnasium is a 7,869-square-foot multipurpose sports and community storm shelter facility with office space, equipment storage, multisport court markings, retractable bleachers, a sound system and projector display. The gymnasium was designed to accommodate the elementary physical education classes and assemblies as well as host basketball and volleyball practices and tournaments.

Additionally, the building has been engineered and constructed to include all appropriate safety and emergency features, allowing it to function as an emergency shelter for the school district and the community.

The gymnasium is adjacent to and complements the previous elementary school addition completed by KKT Architects. It was sited and designed with a similar color palette and materials to create a cohesive appearance for the elementary campus and to allow for future expansion to include locker rooms supporting the adjacent sports fields.
